This home was an absolute labor of love done for my favorite clients in the world- my parents!

We transformed this cookie cutter condo renovated back in the 80’s into a an warm, eclectic space with a Bohemian Mediterranean flare. We added arches to doorways as well as shampoo niches in order to soften the boxy spaces. We replaced the linoleum flooring with terra-cotta tile in the kitchen and brought in a stunning hammered copper sink.

The original solid wood kitchen cabinets were given new life with a refinishing, and we replaced some upper cabinets with reclaimed wood shelves.

“A quatrefoil pattern teal tile takes center stage in the kitchen, followed closely by the rustic, hammered copper sink. The teal was a must-have for Faith. ‘From the beginning, my mom was obsessed with teal,’ she adds, ‘it’s one of her favorite colors, so we sprinkled it in throughout the house, and tied it together as part of the overall palette.’

The terracotta was a design choice made by Justina and Faith to balance out and add warmth to the cool blue-green tones and to give the home a bit of Spanish-Mediterranean flair.”

“In a moment of creative genius, Faith overhauled an oversized closet into a creative built-in hideout that’s perfect for the little grandkids to stay in.”

“Outside, the creative solutions continue with a custom-built bench that doubles extra storage and seating, for their parents who enjoy slumbering under the stars in the gorgeous Los Angeles weather. A bold tile handpicked by their parents can be found underneath.”
